Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson hope to hold a future wedding celebration at the White House, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively

A source tells PEOPLE exclusively that the couple is hoping to have a future wedding celebration at the White House. PresidentDonald Trumpand first ladyMelania Trumpare expected to attend, the insider says.

Don Jr., 48, and Bettina, 39, are reportedly breaking a Trump family tradition this weekend and opting for a small Bahamas wedding ceremony, in part to keep the celebration private and intimate, insiders previously told PEOPLE.

According to a Palm Beach source, the pair wanted to tie the knot before events for the nation's 250th anniversary pick up, and before the disruptive summer and fall storms in South Florida and the Caribbean begin.

“July 4 belongs to America, and early fall is not a good time to plan a wedding in South Florida or on the islands due to questionable bad weather, so they decided to do it now in a place they both love,” the source said.

The pair alreadyquietly made their union officialin a ceremony held in Florida on Thursday, May 21, according to a Florida marriage license obtained by PEOPLE.

The document, which they applied for on May 14, bears Don J. and Bettina's signatures and indicates that the couple was married at Bettina's twin sister Kristina Anderson McPherson's home in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Bettina's brother-in-law, real estate attorney Bradley McPherson, officiated the wedding, the license shows.

The coupleannounced their engagementat a White House holiday event on Dec. 15, 2025.

On Friday, May 22, the president, 79,announcedthat he will not be attending the wedding this weekend due to "circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America."

"While I very much wanted to be with my son, Don Jr., and the newest member of the Trump Family, his soon to be wife, Bettina, circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America, do not allow me to do so," he wrote onTruth Socialon Friday, May 22. On Thursday, the president had said his eldest son would “like me to go” to the wedding celebration but that “it's going to be just a small, little private affair. I'm gonna try and make it.”

Sadie Robertson Huff shared an update on her daughter's health following the baby's "horribly traumatic" choking incidents

Sadie Robertson Huffshared an update on her daughter's health following the baby's "horribly traumatic" choking incidents.

During the Wednesday, May 20 episode of herWhoa That's Goodpodcast, theDuck Dynastyalum, 28, revealed she received a diagnosis from the doctor regarding her 9-month-old daughter Kit's recent choking incidents. Robertson Huff, who's a mom todaughters Kit, Haven, 3, and Honey, 5, recalled her first trip to the pediatrician where she found out the potential cause behind the choking incidents.

“Our first trip to the pediatrician, I tell him [that Kit] breathes really loud," she shared. "And he said, ‘Oh, yeah, she does. I can hear that.' He said, ‘I bet she has,' and he wrote it down … laryngomalacia.”

Robertson Huff said her doctor explained to her and her husbandChristian Huffthat their daughter has a "floppy throat" and "turbulent breathing," which are all consistent with the symptoms of the vocal box disorder.

“He said laryngomalacia is very common in babies,” Robertson said. “It's, like, their little airway, their voice box is supposed to be a little hole, but it's actually going to be shaped like this because the skin is kind of bent and that's what makes it kind of flop, and that's what makes her sound loud when she breathes."

"He says it's really, most of the time, nothing to worry about as long as she's eating fine, [and] her oxygen levels are good," she continued. "She never had dips in oxygen. She ate great. She was always great at nursing. Easy to switch to the bottle. So really, I wasn't worried about it."

Back in April, Robertson Huff opened up about how she was experiencing “waves of anxiety” since a scary choking situation involving her daughter Kit in anInstagram post.

“Kit was sitting in her high chair this week, eating a snack while I was finishing up dinner prep, when she began to choke,” Robertson recalled. “Within seconds, you could tell the severity of the situation. My mom pulled her from the high chair and placed my girl into my arms just as she stopped breathing.

“Everyone went into action and into prayer,” she continued. "Mom called 911, I started CPR, and everyone began to pray out loud and move the other kids downstairs.”

She said she'd previously watched several videos about CPR. The reality TV star said she “felt God's Spirit” guiding her as she put into practice everything that she learned from the clips.

“After following protocol for a baby choking and doing CPR, Kit miraculously coughed and began to breathe, just as the paramedics arrived… it was truly terrifying, but God,” said Robertson Huff.

“I rode in the back of the ambulance with my girl, still afraid, but praising God,” she continued. “Christian drove behind, following us, and told me there was a rainbow over the ambulance the whole way there😭🌈.

“We stayed the night for observation, but she charmed the nurses just a few hours later and is now perfectly healthy, happy, and brightening everyone's day!” Robertson Huff said.

TheWHOA That's Good Podcasthost went on to say she wanted to share her family's experience to encourage others to prepare for potential emergencies.

Niall Horan's new single "End of an Era" reflects on his grief after Liam Payne's death in October 2024

On Friday, May 22, the singer-songwriter released a new single from his forthcoming album — and he gets candid about his friendship with Payne, whodied in October 2024 at age 31.

"We had it, pure magic / Remember what it was like / Time passes so fast that / I couldn't tell you goodbye," Horan, 32, sings in the first verse.

In the second verse, Horan sings about how "things change overnight" — and the "footsteps we can't rewind."

"Careless times, yeah, we sure had some / Naïve eyes, yeah, we sure looked young / Tears fall down like the future comes / Slowly, then all at once," he sings, before entering the emotional chorus. "Feels like letting go of / Things we're not supposed to / One breath and it's over / The end of an era."

"End of an Era" is the latest single from Horan's forthcoming albumDinner Party.

In an interview withGQ Hypein March, Horan revealed that "End of an Era" was a lullaby inspired by the grief of losing his friend.

At the time, he said he "went into hiding a little bit" after Payne's funeral in order to grieve privately. He also said he experienced feelings of nostalgia, fear and sadness when going through videos and photos of them together.

"[There are] memories that only he and I can share ‘cause you have a team and you have people around all the time,” the "Slow Hands" singer said. “But we always said that only us have that experience, no one else has that."

Horan also said that he spent time with his former bandmate just days before he took a fatal fall from his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

"It was great. [He] seemed in good form and we had a good laugh, good reminisce," Horan said, before revealing that he learned of his friend's death while watching TV in bed at home.

"I just remember getting a message. And I was just like, 'What?'... I just didn't think it was real," he said. "Someone so young, you're not expecting to hear that they've passed, especially someone that you've just seen. I just went back from shock to sadness to anger."

After Payne died, the "Heaven" singer wrote on social media that he was“absolutely devastated” by the loss.

"It just doesn't feel real. Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was infectious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and secure," Horan wrote. "All the laughs we had over the years, sometimes about the simplest of things, keep coming to mind through the sadness. We got to live out our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we had forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn't happen often in a lifetime."

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Colorado Democrats voted overwhelmingly to censure one of their own, Gov. Jared Polis, forcommuting the prison sentenceof Tina Peters, the election conspiracy theorist who amplified President Donald Trump's baseless claims that mass fraud caused his 2020 election loss.

About 90% of the state party's roughly 700 Central Committee members voted Wednesday for censure. It means that Polis, who is term-limited and serving his final year in office, will be barred from being an honored guest, featured speaker, or officially recognized party representative at party-sponsored events.

Peters, 70, is a former county clerk who was sentenced to nine years behind barsafter being convictedin 2024 for a scheme to make a copy of her county’s electioncomputer system.

She is set for release June 1 after Polis commuted her sentence Friday.

Trump has championed Peters' cause. Reducing her sentence set a “dangerous and disappointing” precedent when democracy and voting rights are under attack nationwide, the Colorado Democratic Party said in a statement.

“It sends a message to future bad actors that election tampering has consequences, unless you’re friends with the president,” the statement said.

About 700 state party members, including current and former elected officials, petitioned for the party to condemn Polis. The subsequent censure vote was taken in a regularly scheduled party Central Committee virtual meeting.

In April, a Colorado appeals court upheld Peters' conviction but ordered her to be resentenced, saying the judge wrongly punished her for speaking out about election fraud.

In commuting her sentence, Polis told Peters in a letter she deserved prison time but had been given an “extremely unusual and lengthy” sentence for a first-time, nonviolent offender.

He defended the commutation after the censure vote.

“The governor made this decision based on the facts of the case and what he believed was the right thing to do. Sometimes the right thing isn’t the popular thing with everybody. Democracy is strongest when disagreement is met with debate and dialogue, not censorship," Polis spokesperson Eric Maruyama said in an emailed statement Thursday.

Peters thanked Polis and apologized for her crime in a statement after her sentence commutation.

Peters sneaked an outside computer expert, an associate ofMyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, to make a copy of her county’s Dominion Voting Systems election computer server during a system upgrade in 2021. She then joined Lindell onstage at a “cybersymposium” that promised to reveal proof of election rigging, and photos of the upgrade, including passwords, were posted online.
